1. Our Privacy Commitment
RealLives Foundation is committed to protecting users — especially students — and designs its systems to minimize the collection and processing of personal information.
RealLives operates under two models:
Core Simulation Access Model – minimal or no personal data collection.
Institutional Deployment Model (e.g., RCMI or school-managed implementation) – limited student profile information may be maintained within the school-controlled environment for academic administration purposes.
In all cases:
RealLives does not sell personal data.
RealLives does not use personal data for advertising.
RealLives does not monetize user data.
RealLives does not engage in cross-institutional data sharing.
2. Core Simulation Model – Minimal Data Processing
Under standard access use:
RealLives does not collect or process:
Biometric data
Behavioral tracking data for marketing
Advertising identifiers
Location tracking data
Cross-platform tracking information
Where individual login credentials are required, only the minimum necessary identification data is used to enable secure access.
3. Institutional Deployment (School-Controlled Profiles)
In certain school or university implementations (including RCMI-based deployments), student profile information may be maintained within the institutional database environment.
Such information may include:
Student name
Institutional identifier (e.g., roll number or student ID assigned by the school)
Class or course enrollment information
Academic progress within the simulation
Important safeguards:
The educational institution acts as the primary data controller.
Profile data is stored within the school’s authorized environment.
Data is accessible only to authorized school administrators and teachers.
RealLives Foundation does not access, analyze, or commercially exploit this data beyond providing technical functionality.
No cross-school data sharing occurs.
No aggregation across institutions occurs.
Purpose of Processing:
Academic administration
Classroom facilitation
Progress monitoring within the institution
Retention:
Determined by the institution’s internal data retention policies
Data may be deleted upon institutional request or contract termination
4. No Commercial Third-Party Sharing
RealLives Foundation does not:
Sell personal data
Share student data with marketing partners
Share data with advertisers
Provide cross-institutional datasets
Data may only be disclosed:
At the direction of the contracting institution, or
If required by lawful order of a court of competent jurisdiction.
5. Children’s Privacy
RealLives is designed for educational use.
For users under the age of 14:
Any profile data maintained under Institutional Deployment is controlled by the educational institution.
RealLives Foundation does not independently profile, market to, or commercially analyze child data.
No targeted advertising exists.
No behavioral marketing occurs.
Institutions are responsible for obtaining parental or guardian consent where required under applicable law.
6. Cookies and Technical Data
RealLives:
Does not use advertising cookies.
Does not use third-party marketing trackers.
May use essential session cookies necessary for secure platform functionality.
Technical logs may be generated for security, system integrity, and platform performance purposes.
7. Data Security
We implement:
Encrypted HTTPS communication
Secure cloud infrastructure
Role-based access controls
Logical separation between institutions
No external analytics scripts for advertising purposes
8. Data Access, Correction, and Deletion
For Institutional Deployments:
Students and parents should contact their educational institution as the primary data controller.
Institutions may request technical assistance from RealLives Foundation to correct or delete data where applicable.
